I m in love with dabur amla jasmine hair oil, it smells good i applied it before shampoo for 1 hr and washed out with shampoo and used conditioner. My hair was super soft, shinny with reduced frizz. I would buy it again.

I have wavy frizzy hair and full of volume which i get knotty. I tried Dabur amla hair oil, which has very strong smell. I applied it for around 1.5 hrs and shampooed it and then used conditioner and my hair very shinny, no frizz at all and the unnecessary volume got reduced. I m very happy with this stinky oil. And now i think why did i take so long to try this oil.

Henna, fenugreek pack

I applied henna+fenugreek pack to my hair today, and left it for about 1 hr. When i washed it out my hair was very soft and silky, and i loved it.

I had lightly pre oiled my hair, then i mixed 5 tbs of henna , 1tbs of fenugreek, mixed them together with ordinary water, left it to set overnight.

Henna is a great conditioner, sometimes it makes my hair dry , thats why i use it with oil and fenugreek is high in protein . Protein is highly important in rebuilding and strengthening the hair shaft.I apply this hair pack once in 10 days or so.

Fenugreek or meethi hair pack

Fenugreek or meethi is widely used in Indian dishes. Its easily available in India, and in Indian gorcery stores outside India or in Whole foods International section.

This hair pack is using fenugreek powder, you can get fenugreek seeds and just put it in coffee grinder to make it into powder.You can also buy fenugreek powder food grade or from branded company.

2-3 tbs of fenugreek
water

Leave this mixture for 1/2 hr so that the powder gets soaked properly add more water if required. Then apply it to wet or dry hair leave for about 20 - 30min not more, since it will be difficutl to wash out after that. Voila soft , silky, shinyyyyyyyy hair within 20 min. Wash out with conditioner as it will come out easily....... I love this pack and would continue to use it as long as i have hair on my head.

Dabur Vatika Hair Oil

I loved this hair oil "Dabur Vatika Hair oil" it is a coconut oil base with henna, amla, rosemary, lemon. I applied it for almost 6 hrs you can even leave it for just 30 min, and i loved the result soft shiny hair. Would give 5/5 for this hair oil. You can find it in almost every indian store.

Himani Navratna oil Ayurvedic - review

As it says " An Excellent Cool Oil" it is. I tried it when i had severe headache. It has Pudina ka Tel which is very refreshing and i loved it. I would give it 10/10.

The other best part of it is i felt my hair was soft and shiny after shampooing.

The price is also very reasonable. I bought a 100 ml bottle and it costs 41.00 INR.

Indian girls hair saga

In India right from birth a girl will be judged on her skin color, features like her eyes, forehead, lips, nose, HAIR texture etc.. OK i purposely put it in caps, not just in India all over the world people love shiny frizz free straight hair on girls. But whats a girls supposed to do if she has got curly, wavy hair, oil it everyday and put it in braid or plait ?

Yes majority of Indian girls, women braid their hair, but i feel if you have well maintained hair you need to flaunt it. Outside India I have seen 90% of women use blow dryer, flat iron, curling iron, hot brush, rollers to set their hair along with hair serums, heat tamer, shine serums and the outcome of all this is really straight shiny hair, or very curly hair which looks very good.

In India I feel people don't want to damage their hair and want all natural that's why they opt for hair oils and I love hair oils but not 24/7 i use all kinds of hair oils like Amla, Coconut, Almond , Olive oil, Himani Navratna Oil but still my hair remains wavy and thick not like those model which they show in hair oil, shampoo ads or bollywood heroins so what am i supposed to do ?

Here are some of my tips for Indian girls like who have thick frizzy wavy hair and whose hair grows even bigger when it dries . LOL yup my hair gets big like a cotton candy..

-- before hair wash, apply any hair oil of your choice for at least 1 hr.Do hot oil treatment you can either warm oil and apply to scalp, or use wrap a hot towel around ur head for 5 min for that you just dip a towel in hot water and wring it.

-- use shampoo and conditioner for dry hair which has high moisture content. In India few brands which I know are Sunsilk Black Shine, Sunsilk Damage Control, Lakme shine control, Himalaya protein cream, or anything which says hair softner, hair mask.

-- Use leave in conditioner on your towel dried hair. Get one for your hair type.

-- You can use hair dryer if you want to straighten you hair. U need a hair dryer, a round brush and heat protectent serum . You can use lakme shine serum, livon hair potion, but i m not sure if they are heat protectent since i could not find anything else in India i started using it. They also give shine to your hair. Or you can skip the hair dryer and use just this serum.

-- after all these steps your hair must be soft and shiny .
